AltraFlex™ Compression File System (CeDeFS) Accelerator

The AltraFlex™ Compression File System (CeDeFS) Accelerator is pre-configured for high
performance data storage applications. At the center of the AltraFlex CeDeFS are the AltraCores™
GZIP and GUNZIP IP cores that are integrated into the AltraFlex Platform. The AltraFlex CeDeFS
can support 8 Gbps throughput, and solution can be cascaded for higher throughputs.

The AltraFlex CeDeFS Accelerator is integrated with the AltraFlex Compression File System
including device drivers for Linux. The CeDeFS is a high performance file system that
transparently supports the compression of data to disk. The AltraFlex CeDeFS Accelerator
requires no modifications to the existing applications or workflows to achieve high performance
data compression. The AltraFlex CeDeFS Accelerator ensures that data compression can be
done without any reduction in disk throughput.
